ജനീവ: ഇന്ത്യന്‍ വ്യവസായ ഗ്രൂപ്പായ ഹിന്ദുജ കുടുംബത്തിലെ നാലംഗങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് സ്വിറ്റ്സര്‍ലന്‍ഡ് കോടതി തടവുശിക്ഷ വിധിച്ചു. ജോലിക്കാരെ ചൂഷണം ചെയ്തതിന്റെ പേരില്‍ പ്രകാശ് ഹിന്ദുജ, അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ഭാര്യ എന്നിവര്‍ക്ക് നാലരവര്‍ഷവും മകനും മരുമകള്‍ക്കും നാലു വര്‍ഷം വീതവുമാണ് തടവ്.

ജോലിക്കാരെ ഹിന്ദുജ കുടുംബാംഗങ്ങള്‍ ചൂഷണം ചെയ്തെന്നും അവര്‍ക്ക് അനധികൃതമായാണ് ജോലി നല്‍കിയതെന്നും കോടതി ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടി. ജനീവയിലെ കായല്‍ തീരത്തുള്ള ആഡംബരവില്ലയില്‍ ജോലിചെയ്തിരുന്ന ഇന്ത്യക്കാരായ ജോലിക്കാരോട് ഇവര്‍ മോശമായി പെരുമാറി എന്നതാണ് കുറ്റം. എന്നാല്‍, ഇവര്‍ക്കെതിരേയുള്ള മനുഷ്യക്കടത്താരോപണം കോടതി തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

ജോലിക്കാരുടെ പാസ്പോര്‍ട്ട് പിടിച്ചുവെച്ചു, സ്വിസ് ഫ്രാങ്കിനു പകരം ശമ്പളം രൂപയായി നല്‍കി, വില്ലയില്‍നിന്ന് പുറത്തുപോകാന്‍ അനുവദിച്ചില്ല, നീണ്ട മണിക്കൂറുകളോളം ജോലി ചെയ്യിപ്പിച്ചു തുടങ്ങിയ ആരോപണങ്ങളാണ് തെളിയിക്കപ്പെട്ടത്. ദിവസം 18 മണിക്കൂര്‍വരെ ജോലി ചെയ്യിക്കുമെങ്കിലും 660 രൂപ മാത്രമായിരുന്നു ദിവസവേതനം. സ്വിറ്റ്സര്‍ലന്‍ഡ് നിയമപ്രകാരം വളരെ തുച്ഛമായ തുകയാണിത്.

തങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് ചെലവാക്കുന്നതിനേക്കാള്‍ തുക കുടുംബം വളര്‍ത്തുനായകള്‍ക്കായി ചെലഴിക്കുന്നുവെന്ന് ജോലിക്കാര്‍ ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടിയിരുന്നു. കോടതി നടപടിയില്‍ ഹിന്ദുജ കുടുംബാംഗങ്ങള്‍ നാലുപേരും ഹാജരായില്ല. കേസില്‍ അഞ്ചാംപ്രതിയായ ഇവരുടെ മാനേജര്‍ നജീബ് സിയാസി മാത്രം ഹാജരായി. ഇയാള്‍ക്ക് 18 മാസമാണ് തടവുശിക്ഷ. ആരോപണവുമായെത്തിയ മറ്റ് മൂന്ന് ജോലിക്കാരുമായി കുടുംബം കോടതിക്ക് പുറത്ത് കേസ് തീര്‍പ്പാക്കിയിരുന്നു.
